The InterSoccer Madrid Academy Team child selection competed in the International Canillas CD Tournament held in Madrid on September 21, 22 and 23.
Our team, along Alcobendas CF in its camp, faced Manchester City, the French team “La Castellane” of Marseille, sponsored by Zinedine Zidane, and Juventus FC that after leaving unbeaten this camp and exceed the following qualifying stages, won brilliantly the champion of the previous edition: the almighty FC Barcelona.
The InterSoccer Madrid Academy Team showed so good level that only was defeated by the champion, the “Juve”, coached by the legendary Italian international Ravanelli. Being about to spring a surprise, because after tying the match with Manchester City only a goal separated us from qualifying for the quarterfinals in the last match, against the French “La Castellane”, who beated Real Madrid, through to the semifinals without being able to beat InterSoccer Madrid Academy Team.
The great level demonstrated by the InterSoccer Madrid Academy Team and the presence of the magic Zidane in Alcobendas camp make this tournament an unforgettable memory both for our kids from Alcobendas FC and from de InterSoccer Madrid Residence.
