One of the Pakhtakor Club youth football teams and a delegation headed by the Vice-president of the club visited the Goalearning Residence this past June.
The team played in the first Goalearning International Tournament in Alcobendas, crowning themselves as champions after defeating teams such as Atlético de Madrid, Alcobendas, and Alcala, who finished in second place
The trophies were presented by: Mr. Tomás Páramo, President of Alcobendas C.F., to the fourth place team Alcobendas C.F.; Mr. Daniel Fernández, Goalearning Director, to the third place team Adarve; Pablo Salazar, Alcobendas Sports Councillor, to the runners-up Alcala; and Mr. Ignacio García de Vinuesa, Mayor of Alcobendas, to the tournament champion Pakhtakor. Mr. David Hernández, Goalearning Sports Director, presented an Atlético de Madrid jersey to the tournament MVP to Pakhtakor’s Lumber 7, Ravshanbek.
The delegation was received at the “Sala de Plenos” by Alcobendas Authorities, where the children had some time to enjoy the indoor pools of Alcobendas and Alalpardo. The delegation also visited the Santiago Bernabeu Stadium, as well as multiple emblematic monuments across Madrid. The delegation was accompanied by Goalearning Directors throughout their visits.
The team also had the chance to practice in Alalpardo during a training session offered by Fernando Zambrano, Technical Director of the “Federacion Madrileña de Fútbol” (Madrid Football Federation) and former coach of Atlético de Madrid and Rayo Vallecano, amongst others. The training session also included Pedro Jaro, who was recently named Goalkeeper Coach for Real Madrid after having played his professional career as a goalkeeper for Real Madrid, Atlético de Madrid, Betis, Malaga, and Cádiz. David Hernández, Goalearning Sports Director, Manuel Moya, Alcobendas C.F. Sports Director, and Daniel Fernández, Goalearning Programme Director, were also present during the training session. The children also participated in a “tactics lesson” offered at the Goalearning Residence classrooms, after which a few prizes were given out to some of the children.
It was an unforgettable experience for everybody who participated in this tournament.
