The two major sports newspapers in Spain -As and Marca- report on Atletico Madrid’s victory against Arsenal Youth 1-0, thus eliminating the English team in the UEFA Youth League.
Otia, an InterSoccer student, performed a tight marking job on Dan Crowley. Crowley is recognised as, one of, Arsenal’s most dangerous players but Otia was outstanding throughout the game and received great credit for his performance.
Here is the report as published in Marca:
“Atletico Madrid won 1-0 over Arsenal in the Cerro del Espino, Majadahonda, with a goal in the first minute. The goal was scored by Diedhiou Hamath and, the result, meant that Atletico became the first team to qualify for the quarterfinals of the UEFA Youth League Championship.
The red and whites will face the winners of Chelsea – Zenit in the next round.Despite having Theo sent off in the latter stages, Atletico were able to hold on to their one goal lead and progress to the next stages!”
