InterSoccer participate in The Luis Aragones Memorial Tournament

Over the weekend of the 10th, 11th and 12th of April, The Luis Aragones Memorial Tournament took place at the Valdelasfuentes Sports City – home of Alcobendas Levitt CF. The tournament was a tribute to, arguably, the best Spanish coach of all time, Aragones.

This prestigious tournament – arranged for boys born in 1998 – was contested by Barcelona, Real Madrid, Atletico Madrid, Real Sociedad, AC Milan and, the host club, Alcobendas Levitt CF.

Three students from InterSoccer participated in the tournament. Christian Rutjens, Hyo Kang and goalkeeper, Anthony Payyapilli were chosen as part of the Alcobendas squad. Christian and Kang played in all 3 games against world class opposition. The Alcobendas results were;

Alcobendas 1 – 1 Real Sociedad
Alcobendas 2 – 2 AC Milan
Alcobendas 1 – 2 Atletico Madrid

The semi finals and final were broadcast live on national TV! A number of personalities from the world of sport, politics and media attended the competition and enjoyed their stay at Valdelasfuentes.

The eventual winners of the competition were Atletico Madrid!
