On February 26th, Pierre – an InterSoccer student – played for Atletico Madrid’s youth team against Manchester City youth team in the Champions League Youth Cup. It was widely regarded by everyone who attended the match that Pierre had a fantastic game and put in an outstanding performance which, almost, culminated in a goal when his shot from distance nearly found the back of the net.
Sadly, Atletico lost the match 0-1 against a City side coached by legendary France, Arsenal and Manchester City player, Patrick Viera. The Manchester City team was made up of some excellent young players from all over the world so the Atletico players can be proud of their performance.
Pierre’s performance – in Atletico’s most important game of the season so far – amongst such strong opposition really shows how he has developed as a player. We, at InterSoccer, hope he can continue his evolution within professional football and accomplish all that he has worked so hard for.
