Last Saturday, June 1, the 1st Closing Soccer-7 Tournament “InterSoccer” was held at the Alalpardo’s football field. The three teams were formed by the “friends” of Pierre, Barry and Musah respectively.
Finally, after three hard-fought matches, the winners were the “whites” led by Pierre. The second place went to the Musah’s “black-greens”. Barry’s “blues”, after a spectacular start, eventually had to settle for third place. Teams were formed with kids from the residence and InterSoccer Academy Club players.
We must highlight the great season performed by the InterSoccer Academy Club in its first year of its existence. After winning the last five matches, following a very regular league of Dani Martin’s and Jesus Lucas’s boys, has been ranked third and was the team with the fewest goals against. What virtually assures its promotion to Second Category of Madrid Community. In addition, from their ranks have come Otia to the national youth Atletico de Madrid, with whom he proclaimed recently the U17 World Club Cup runner up. Other players like Andres, Sory, Musah and finally, Barry, have also played with Levitt Alcobendas CF first team in the First Regional Preferential Madrid, club whom InterSoccer Academy is a subsidiary.
To stand out the work of the InterSoccer guys all the season the Mayor, Mr. Miguel Medranda, honored us with his presence at the tournament. It was the Mayor, aided by members of InterSoccer -as the Director of the organization or Belen Garcia Page “English For Football” program responsible- who gave the trophies to the champions and souvenir medals to all participants in the tournament… and he also got one! Then, with a snack in the local bar on the sports facilities and in an atmosphere of great joy, the competitive season ended. So guys, see you soon!
